A base at Galle for the first 4 nights will mean plenty of guaranteed cricket action but in beautifully peaceful and relaxing historical hotel. From there escape a busy Galle to one of the most peaceful and quietest stretches of beach in the whole of Sri Lanka. Finish the tour with a scenic seaplane ride back up to Colombo from the deep south and watch the a final day or two while based in comfort at the most comfortable hotel in Colombo.

Day-to-Day Itinerary : Cricket and Beach Escape
DAY 1: 24TH MARCH 2012
Depart London Heathrow (alternative airports also available)
DAY 2:
Arrival and transfer to Galle. You will be met on arrival by one of our English speaking chauffeur guides and you will be taken down to your first hotel. Overnight: The Tamarind Hill (6 nights)
DAYS 2, 7:
Five full days Test Match Cricket to enjoy in one of the worlds prettiest little venues. Alternatively enjoy the peaceful historic hotel or some of the many beautiful beaches nearby.
DAY 8:
Depart after or before the days play (as you like) and transfer the short journey eastwards to Turtle Bay, just east of Tangalle. This is as far away from everywhere as it is possible to be. A gorgeous sweeping beach and blissful peaceful relaxing awaits. We include half board here and the quality of the cooking is very high indeed. Overnight: Turtle Bay Hotel (5 nights)
DAYS 9 -12:
Relax, read a book, eat, drink and just refresh! Wonderful. If you do want to venture further afield, there is the inland rock monastery of Mulkirigala, watching the timeless ritual of turtles laying their eggs overnight at Rekewa, seeing the elephants at Uda Walawe or enjoying the extraordinary birdlife at the Kalametiya Bird Sanctuary right next door.
DAY 13:
A seaplane ride today back from the airfield at Dickwella back to Colombo Airport where youll be transferred to your small luxury Colombo hotel. Overnight: Park Street (2 nights)
DAY 12:
A final day watching the 2nd Test in Colombo and perhaps catching up on some shopping in the evening. Extra days in Colombo available on request.
DAY 13:
Transfer to the airport for your homewards flight.
