England Cricket Tour 2012 and Sri Lankas Natural Wonders takes in a the Test Match in Colombo and a couple of days in Colombo. In the middle, we take you down to the deep south Tangalle: with its miles of empty beaches, mangrove swamps, jungles and at this time of year the chance to see turtles laying eggs. The hotel is unbelievably good quality too and the owner a wealth of knowledge and bonhomie. The real treat is 2 days in premium safari camping in Yala National Park home to the highest density of leopards in Asia, as well as elephants, sloth bears, a plethora of bird life and much more.

DAY 1: 24TH MARCH, 2012
Depart from London Heathrow (regional departures available on request)
DAY 2:
On arrival you will be met by your chauffeur guide and transferred by private vehicle down to your hotel in Unawatuna, near Galle. Overnight: Thambapanni Retreat 6 nights.
DAYS 3-7:
Unawatuna is gorgeous sweeping bay 7km south of Galle town itself. The blend of sleepy low key resorts, beachside restaurants and buzzy bars makes it an ideal base from which to watch the cricket. The Thambapanni is not only the best hotel in the bay, but it is set back from the beach, meaning sleep is never disturbed, even by noisy cricket fans.
Enjoy three uninterrupted days of Test Match Cricket in one of the worlds most exotic locations.
DAYS 8 9:
Your vehicle will pick you up at the end of the days play (or start of the day if you have had enough cricket) and transfer you down the coast to the sleepy southern end of Tangalle. Buckingham Place is full of jokes; the name an ironic play on the owners surname but this belies the serious quality of the accommodation and the food. Really: unbelievably good and comfortable for a place in so remote and natural a location. Overnight Buckingham Place 2 nights.
DAYS 10 11
A Premium Camping Safari in Sri Lankas most famous national park Yala. One of the best places in the world for spotting leopards as well as sloth bears, elephants, birds of prey, water birds, buffalo, crocodiles and much more. The safari camp is set up in advance and includes 4 safari drives, food, drink and a wonderfully comfortably natural existence if only for a couple of days.
DAY 12:
A drive back to Colombo today where you chauffeur guide will say goodbye to you at your historic hotel in the heart of Colombo. Overnight Galle Face Regency Hotel, Colombo
DAY 13:
A full day at the second test in Colombo awaits. Overnight Galle Face Regency Hotel, Colombo.
DAY 14:
Private transfer to Colombo airport. Depart for London.
