DAY 1: 24TH MARCH, 2012

DAY 2:

Arrive in Sri Lanka and transfer to Galle via the internal seaplane. As well as radically reducing the transfer time to Galle, the seaplane flight is wonderfully scenic on a clear day with the Indian Ocean on one side, the mountains on the other and the jungle below.

Overnight: The Sun House (6 nights)

DAYS 3-7:

The Sun House will be brilliant base from which to watch the First Test in Galle. It is sociable so if you wanted to escape from buzz of the cricket we do have some equally nice hotels rooms in much quieter locations too. Just ask us about them. We had to work so hard to get the rooms we are jealously guarding them!

DAY 8:

Your chauffeur-guide will pick you up from your hotel and start your tour. The drive to Kandy takes several hours through magnificent scenery. Your small intimate hotel for the duration is outside of the town in lush, colourful surroundings giving you a feel for the gorgeous inland scenery in Sri Lanka. The tea for which Sri Lanka is famous is grown around here.

Overnight: Mas Villa (2 nights)

DAY 9:

Visit Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, The Temple of The Tooth and the cultural heart of Sri Lanka Kandy town. This is also a great place to eat out.

DAY 10:

Transfer to the area known as the cultural triangle. An area rich in archaeological sites such as the famous Rock Fortress at Sigirya, reckoned by many in Sri Lanka to be the Eighth Wonder of the Ancient World!

Overnight: Cinnamon Lodge (3 nights)

DAYS 11-12:

Your flexible tour will enable you to take in as many of the local sites as you have the enthusiasm to fit in. Your times is yours - but all transport, guiding and entrances fees will be included in advance.

DAY 13:

Transfer to Colombo. An early start if you want to make the start of the days play though it is your holiday too so leave when you feel like it! Stay in the heart of Colombo in one of the citys best hotels.

Overnight: Galle Face Regency (3 nights)

DAYS 14-15:

Two days of Cricket watching and remember that in the sub-continent the matches are much more likely to go the distance.

Departure to the airport.
