Abode Hibernation

Info : Abode Hibernation

Abode Hibernation is a new experimental home-stay tourism project on the remote island of Mannar. Once a major commercial hub due it's proximity to Adam's Bridge and southern India, the area was in a state of decline following almost 30 years of civil conflict. Now open for business and travel again, this is a chance to be one of the first contemporary visitors to this historic and fascinating arid region.

The project has been developed by Sidantha, the founderof Abode. the very successful project in the Knuckles Mountain Range.

Eco/Outdoors/Homestay - This category covers gorgeous eco lodges in the jungle, comfortable safari camps, very basic homestays and dreamy, but simple, beach cabanas. These places defy conventional categorisation: what is communing with nature to one person may be terrifying bugs to another! Many of these places are very comfortable and the service generally of a very high level – but a guest staying at any place in this categorisation must read the website review carefully and/or talk to us and be sure to have understood what they are letting themselves in for!
