STYLISH AND GREAT VALUE 3 BEDROOM VILLA OVERLOOKING A VAST LAGOON, CLOSE THE BEACH AT BENTOTA

Apsara is modern, three-bedroom villa offering some of the most competitively priced stylish accommodation in Sri Lanka.

Situated overlooking a lagoon, the property is secluded and away from the typical tourist stretched of Bentota. However, with the famous Bentota beaches just a short boat ride or tuk-tuk drive away, you really can have the best of both worlds whilst staying here.

The villa has 3 double bedrooms set around a central courtyard, each with four poster beds, en-suite bathrooms, air-conditioning and fitted wardrobes. The focus of the property is a beautiful azure swimming pool overlooking the lagoon which is directly accessible from multiple rooms in the villa.

The living space is comprised of a fully-equipped kitchen and open plan lounge, with double doors leading out on to the courtyard, pool deck and to the outside dining area. The lounge is fitted with surround sound speakers (around the pool area as well), a flat screen HD TV, Blu Ray DVD player and WIFI. There is also a selection of board games for guests to enjoy.

The villa is sold on a room only basis or you can take over the entire property. The resident manager and chef Chandana is always on hand to prepare delicious meals for you at cost price. Simply discuss your food requirements with him and he will go to the market to buy the required produce. This is a very economical way to wine and dine in style. Cookery classes can be arranged and you are welcome to join Chandana on trips to the local fish and vegetable markets. You can also cater for yourself if you like.

Apsara also offer a number or interesting and unique excursions including an early morning trip to Beruwela Fish Harbour and market day in the village (Mondays). The villa can also arrange beach BBQs for you at the local turtle hatchery or sunset drinks and canapés at the nearby lighthouse. Boat Trips, Deep Sea & Lagoon Fishing, Water Skiing, Wake Boarding, Jet Skis, Kayaking, Surf Lessons, Coastal Cruises, Snorkelling Trips and Scuba Diving can all be organised from the villa itself. Many guests hire a boat for the week to go back and forth to the beach and to enjoy the lagoon.

Villa - The 'Villa' is a similar concept to the 'holiday home' in Europe, with some very key differences. They are usually fully staffed with cooking and service provided for you. Staff will generally cook meals to your specification and purchase food and drink for you at cost price, making them excellent value. They are generally, but not always, pretty smart and luxurious too and feel in many ways like a small private hotel. Nonetheless, your villa is still effectively a home and therefore you cannot expect the same level of training, English speaking or slickness that you might expect from a hotel at a similar cost. As the owners are not generally holiday professionals we cannot guarantee the quality of a villa matches expectations in a way we can with hotels. That said, the personal local touch means villas are generally much more friendly and interactive than hotels and have much to recommend them. The privacy and space makes them wonderful for families and groups of friends.
