Serendib Hotel

Info : Serendib Hotel

The Serendib is a simple hotel, but a friendly and attractive one. It was well designed by the famous Sri Lankan architect, Geoffrey Bawa, and full use is made of the beautiful surroundings. It is also a fairly small resort and very quiet. Facilities are basic - there are no TV's in the rooms for example and none of the nightclubs, shops or coffee bars that characterise many of the other package hotels in the area.

The rooms are large and comfortable, the pool is fantastic and the overall feel of the hotel is good. It is clean and well kept and the food is reasonable. This is one of our favourite beach hotels as we feel it is better value compared with the larger beach hotels in the area as well as being a more pleasant experience.

Water sports are available easily in the area - the hotel will arrange water-skiing, jet-skiing and many other sports, including diving and boat trips.

Comfort - This is what we would describe as our standard category. These will be decent 3/4* hotels providing a really good level of service. We would generally expect them to be providing a little something extra, whether it is character, service or excellent facilities.
