Info : Slightly Chilled (Delhousie)
The Slightly Chilled Yellow House house is a great laid back option in Dalhousie - the gateway to the majestic Adam's Peak mountain.
Family run, the Slightly Chilled Yellow House offer 6 simple, spacious and clean rooms in a friendly and welcoming environment. All rooms have a private balcony and en-suite bathroom.
There's a small restaurant with large views which also prepares good packed lunches if you are going to be out and about all day. The house has fantastic views up to the peak and direct access to the river which flows beneath it.
Most people staying in Delhousie are there to make the climb up Adam's Peak, which tends to start at around 2am in order to make the sunrise at the summit. Treks and walks for every level of fitness and different ranges of interest can be easily arranged, with guides if necessary, as well as a range of other excursions.
The slightly Chilled Yellow House is our favourite of the many small properties in town and it's friendly atmosphere it's the perfect place to relax in before or after the big climb.

Value - This is our lead in category. There will generally be a no frills approach and while some will be characterful, some will do exactly what it says on the tin – provide a clean, comfortable and good value place to spend the night. These places are normally 3* hotels, but in areas where there is little choice or if it is a very good place, it may be what would generally be described in Asia as a 'guesthouse'.
