The Beach Hut is one of Sri Lankas few villas to cater to couples and small families. Beautifully designed and finished throughout, the property sits on the edge of Unawatuna, one of Sri Lankas most idyllic beaches, and offers total seclusion with the option to be sociable always on your doorstep.

The top floor of the villa has one master bedroom and a smaller second bedroom which can be used for two kids or extra guests. Several sets of french doors lead out from the master suite onto a three sided terrace overlooking the pool, garden, and ocean. Both rooms are air-conditioned and have access to the en-suite bathroom.

The ground floor is dedicated to a huge lounge, furnished with a beautiful selection of contemporary and antique furniture. Here you will find a tv, dvd player and sound system as well as a selection of games. There is also an additional bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen.

The staff at The Beach Hut can prepare tasty Sri Lankan meals for you at cost price you just discuss your requirements with them and they will source the produce from local markets, making it an extremely economical way to live it up. Unawatuna also has a vast range of beach restaurants and cafes meaning you have plenty of choices within a short stroll along the beach.

In front of the villa is a large manicured lawn which surrounds the private swimming pool. At the foot of the garden is an additional outdoor cushioned lounge area overlooking the beach. There is also a selection of benches and hammocks spread throughout the garden and terrace.

The Beach Hut is ideal for couples and small families (although families should be aware that the spiral stairs to the top floor are a potential hazard for small children). The villa offers truly sumptuous accommodation and service in a excellent location. Highly recommended.

Superior - This is our first really 'upmarket' category. It might be a beautiful tiny hotel with very limited facilities or a 5* resort hotel with all the trimmings; but any hotel in this category will be a well-run establishment with very comfortable rooms, a strong service ethos and excellent food.
