Info : Ambalama Villa

Ambalama is a beautiful and stylish beach villa only 7 kms from the historic town of Galle. The entrance is across stepping stones over a water pool into the open plan sitting/dining area. Large, teak doors open out to the garden, the Balinese tiled pool and stunning views of the Indian Ocean. High ceilings and white terrazzo floors encourage cool air flow and louvre windows can be adjusted to capture the wonderful views..

Amabalama has three double bedrooms and one twin, all with sea views and located either side of the pool. All have large, stylish en-suite bathrooms with power showers. Two of the double bedrooms also have additional outdoor showers. All are well furnished, in contemporary villa style, with elegant four-poster beds and mosquito nets.

The sitting room is large, wide and comfortably furnished. Hanging ceiling fans compliment the sea breeze. There is also a water garden in the living area. The atmosphere is friendly and inviting, and the experienced staff take great care of guests. Meals are served to a high standard by the resident chef, who will prepare what you like and even take you shopping at the market.

The infinity pool is the center-piece of the garden. Surrounded by swaying coconut palms, sun-loungers and a grassy lawn, it commands excellent views of the ocean and coastline. The local area itself has plenty to offer. Unawatuna beach is close by, as is the popular Galle Fort. There are some excellent restaurants within easy walking distance of the villa.

Deluxe - Deluxe hotels would have a superb level of service, very comfortable and usually spacious bedrooms, excellent food, great design and character. For us, when we visited, these places all had the 'wow factor'. A deluxe hotel should satisfy the criteria of the most discerning clients.
